Collected on this page are the musical works of Lord Jon Ray of LJR Productions. Presented are the various forms of music formats he has created and worked in: mod, midi, and mp3. Songs are listed here under file format and MP3s by genre type. Mp3 and Midi songs are pretty common on the internet and can be played back on any standard media player such as QuickTime,Winamp, Windows Media Player, or Real Player. To listen to Mods some media players can reconize and play them but the best sure way is to get ModPlug Player; which is free. If you are using Netscape right click the name of the song you wish to listen to and select "Save Link Target As..", otherwise some files may not open or save correctly. If you wish to use any music you see here for a website or production of any kind, please email me for permission here. |

This is where I got my start in composing and writing music on the computer. Back in the early 1990s I started with a program called ModEdit which was a 4-track mod creation program. Back in those days you were only allowed 4 tracks to work with and had to get pretty creative at times. Also around this time I got started in the European Demoscene which is still going on today but never really caught on outside of Europe. Later I moved on to using Scream Tracker 3 and finally ended my mod creating era with Impulse Tracker. Though I don't consider these all that good that are still unquie because of the track music factor. Mp3s have come of age and are the standard in music programs so, I no longer create Mods. With entering compos and writing music for the demoscene under the group Information Overide, I've probably created 100+ mods in my lifetime. I've since lost many of theses. I did hear back in the mid-90s that someone released a 6 CD package of Mods and I had a few of my earlier works on those. These are all that remain of my mod collection. If you come across some of my work let me know so I can add to the collection here. In some of the song descriptions I've retyped what was typed in the sample's track area which was something common for track music. For a reference, below are the file extensions for which tracking program was use. *.it....Impulse Tracker *.xm....Fast Tracker *.s3m...Scream Tracker *.mod...ModEdit or Other | ||||

| A Glimps into I/O | glimio.s3m | 03:24 | Demoscene | I/O is a new Demo group on the scene. This song is only a bit of whats to come from this small group in Japan. Cyberpunkish in style and flavor, there are not many groups left out there like ours. When the red tape gets too thick, or Information just isn't coming, I/O slams the Demo Scene with another Anarchy kick'in demo somewhere your way.....stay tuned to this channel... Written: 1995 |
| IO-Intro | IO-Intro.s3m | 00:56 | Demoscene | A short intro song for a demo invite for the demogroup Information Overide. |
| Astral Projection | ljr-astr.it | 07:17 | Trance | I hope you like this Trance, it was a little something I had cooking and left to work on another piano trance tune. But I decided to come back to this one and this is the result. This is kinda like the best stuff I've done so far, ,as in Trance to Ken Ishii-like. All ravers across the planet Unite! and let Trance be your voice till the day comes that we all dance to the same tribal bear. Written: 1997 |
| Funkadelic | ljr-fkdc.it | 03:06 | Funk/HipHop | This song was originally meant to be a up euro-beat style, but once
I hit that funk line just playing around with melody, I changed the
whole tune. Hope you like it, its totally different from my other
stuff. Still think it could have be alot better, with more vocals etc.
Also thats my voice in there just in case your wondering. I need to buy
a new sound card as I'm working right now on a GUS ACE which sucks
when it comes to onboard memory, etc. Thats why my songs are still so
damn small, but hey better on the download time, eh? Anyways to all
shamans across the land, RaveNation unite. And strike fear of the
technological age, which is at hand, for someday we will have our
day. And every day there after! Written: 1997 |
| LoSt iN tImE | ljr-lit.it | 05:46 | Trance | Krash sat by the window pondering his last few moments in Cyberspace.
No one was around him now as there had be before. He'd nearly lost his
damn life over that her. Blue neon light faded in from the hotel sign
that hung outside over his window. Looking down into the street before,
he noticed a car parked in front. Inside was pitch black. Only a man or
woman smoking a cig could be seen. The Vid-phone beeped. He finds the remote and clicks it to answer mode. " Yes?" "Mr. Krash, we've been waiting for you.", came from a shadowed out figure from the monitor. " I was there the whole, where were you?", Krash fearing the truth of this encounter with that girl in cyberspace. " We know, and now we've found you in the real world. Say good-bye to her Krash. For now will be the last you'll ever see of her." With that the monitor clicks to stand-by mode. His room, now only lit from the blue neon sign outside his window, the fish tank near the door, and white static glooming from his VR-goggles. He unstraps himself from the console chair, grab a gun out of the bed side desk, straps it to his waist, and heads for the door. As he reaches for the handle, a sudden red flash fades the room until it becomes blinding white. He awakens moments later, in a wooden area. A lake is to his feet streching out over a few miles. Tree surround him on the bank of the lake. In the distance he can make out was seems to be an ole Mideval Castle of some sort. "How the hell did I get here?", he mumbles to himself. And thus his adventures in TIME begin. Trying to get back to his on world and time, to get back to her. Written: 1997 |

| Peaceful Bliss | pbliss.s3m | 01:55 | Experimental/Melodic | I had a point in my music writting that I wanted a challenge. Thus, I sat out to compose an entire song off of just 1 WAV sample. This is the result of that work. The entire song is compose of only 1 sample! Written: 1995 |
| Peaceful Bliss II | pbliss2.s3m | 02:49 | Experimental/Melodic | This time I choose to use 2 samples and create a nice blend of melodic harmony. Written: 1995 |

Also of note I used my Japanese girlfriend's voice during the making this track. She is basically speaking in Japanese about the cool surfing on the wave. Surfs up dude, I wonder???? Am I the only Mod writer out there who surfs? And I don't just mean Surf the InterNet REAL WAVES! In like the ocean an stuff. Save the Oceans! .Transmission End Written: 1995 |

| Warped Journey | warped-j.it | 04:06 | Ambient | This is one of my 1st attempts at using all instruments instead of my past use of just samples. Now that I got my self Cool Edit, and started using instruments instead of samples, maybe my stuff will take a turn for the better. This piece was just meant to relax you kind of an ambient vibe without the noises. |
